Olga holds a degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business, a postgraduate degree in Tourism Management and Policy from the Hellenic Open University, and a PhD in Sustainable Tourism from the University of the Aegean. She has worked in several fields of the private sector spanning from management to commerce as well as construction and services. Between 2004 and 2023, she lived on the Cycladic island of Andros, working on designing and implementing several sustainability projects, as a founding member and coordinator of the grass roots non-profit organization “Andros Research Center”. She has participated in the Southern Aegean Tourism Observatory and, among others, has written the action plan for nature and hiking tourism. She has extensive ‘hands-on’ experience working with local communities to the effect of bridging academic knowledge with field work for sustainability.
