Dr. George Kosteletos

George Kosteletos holds a PhD on the Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence, Mind and Neurosciences (Department of Philosophy, NKUA). He is an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Philosophy of the NKUA and at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Open University of Cyprus. He is conducting Postdoctoral Research at the Department of Philosophy of the NKUA and has been an academic fellow and appointed researcher at the Medical School of Athens, in the context of a collaboration of the NKUA Applied Philosophy Research Lab with the Laboratory of Psycho-physiology (1st Department of Psychiatry, Eginition Hospital, NKUA), conducting neuroscientific research on the cognitive mechanisms underlying Moral Reasoning. Dr. Kosteletos' area of specialization is Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence as well as Philosophy of Neuroscience with a focus on Technoethics (Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and Neuroethics). Dr. Kosteletos has taught courses related to these fields at postgraduate level and in Lifelong Learning Programs. In addition, Dr. Kosteletos has participated as a researcher in funded Cognitive Science research projects, focusing on issues related to the field of Neuroethics and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence. He is a member of the Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence of the National Commission on Bioethics and Technoethics.
