Jovan Babić (1951), is a retired Professor of Ethics at the School of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Author of four books: Kant and Scheler (1986), Morality and Our Time (1998, 2nd ed. 2005), Introduction to Business Ethics (2000) and Essays on Defense (2018), all in Serbian, as well as numerous journal articles in various fields of ethics and applied ethics both in English and Serbian. Cofounder and organizer of the ILECS (International Law and Ethics Conference Series) conferences, 1997-2017. Editor of the edition "Applied Ethics" with Službeni glasnik, Belgrade. Member of the Board of Directors of the European Society for Military Ethics (EuroISME), and their book series “International Studies on Military Ethics” (with Brill Nijhoff). His research interests include Kantian Ethics, Applied ethics (particularly Business Ethics, International Ethics, Ethics of War), and Social Ontology.
