Jalal Hasan Mistaffa is an Assistant Professor at the University of Sulaimani, College of Political Sciences. He is co-author of a few books such as The Revival of the Terrorist Groups in the Disputed Territories (2019) (in English, Arabic, and Kurdish) published by the Center of Future Studies, Sulaimaniyah, Iraq. He is the director of the Genocide and Peacebuilding Research Center (GPRC) (established in 2023) at the University of Sulaimani and the Deputy Dean of the College of Political Sciences. He is interested and published in peer-reviewed journals about ethnofederalism and political instability in Iraq, the Iraqi and Kurdistan Region’s electoral system, the future of the disputed territories in Iraq, and ethnic conflict. He has been interviewed extensively as a political analyst analyzing Iraq's domestic politics (most interviews are recorded on his YouTube channel below).
