Vasileios Syros is a Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for Military History and Conflict Studies at the United Service Institution of India (USI), India’s oldest and foremost tri-service think tank (est. 1870). Prof. Syros is also a Life Member of Clare Hall, University of Cambridge, and holds concurrent appointments as Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for European Global Studies at the University of Basel (Switzerland) and the Director of the Early Modern Greek Culture Program at The Medici Archive Project (Florence, Italy). His areas of interest include the history of medieval and early modern political thought (Christian, Islamic, and Jewish traditions), cross-cultural leadership, and Indian strategic thought.
